CALIFORNIA DREAMIN’
After arriving in Sacramento, we’ll spend 7 days exploring on roads that check every motorcycle tour box. Coastal straightaways that make your throttle twitch, the seemingly endless twisties of the northern forests, the snaking starkness of the valley, and the mountain plains that will leave you wanting more. This region has it all!
And because we care as much about your time off your bike as your time on it, you’ll be lulled to sleep by the sound of breaking waves, drift off at the feet of active volcanoes, retire to your cabin after a relaxing campfire – all accompanied by fantastic meals in remote places to which you’d unlikely venture on your own.
“The whole trip was one adventure after another, with no two places feeling the same. You created for us a unique and tailored experience; from the chosen routes, to the food and accommodation and even roadside picnics!! Wow and wonderful.”

DAY 1: OUT TO THE COAST
Departure: 9:30am
Distance: ~350 kms
Arrival: 3:30pm
What better way to begin a California motorcycle trip than to head straight to the coast. We’ll head west riding through some classic Sonoma county vineyards and fruit orchards, before we get our first taste of the incredible forest roads until the Pacific Ocean seems to come out of nowhere as we reach Stewart’s Point. From there it’s a quick sprint to our final destination where your room by the ocean awaits.

DAY 2: COAST UP THE COAST
Departure: 9:30am
Distance: ~250 kms
Arrival: 4:00pm
We’ll take full advantage of the Pacific Coast Highway all day today. With some heavier riding days ahead, we’ll take our time enjoying the magnificent coastline from the hotel all the way to another picture perfect night by the sea.

day 3: Sea, Giants, Sky
Departure: 8:00am
Distance: ~425 kms
Arrival: 4:30pm
Today is a big day. We’ll say goodbye to the ocean as we head back east into the National Forests, but not before we crawl through Redwoods State Park, where you’ll get the appropriate time to marvel at the grandeur of these magnificent trees. Back to a vibrant pace, we’ll climb and fall, twist and turn, until somehow hidden, rises an active snow-capped volcano as we cruise into town for the night.

day 4: Cottage Country
Departure: 8:30am
Distance: ~345 kms
Arrival: Approx. 4:30pm
Today we conquer three national forests en route to some time at the cottage. We’ll put volcano #1 in our rear view as we climb back up and cross the plains of Mt Eddy and continue west skirting the Scott river for more than 50 kms. From there it’s more gorgeous mountain riding with plenty of turns and plenty to see as we continue our journey to your own private cottage for a couple of days.

day 5: Salmon River to Etna / Off-Day
Departure: 10:00am (Group)
Distance: ~250-365 kms
Arrival: 3:30pm (Group)
Today is a day built for supreme flexibility. You can hang in your swanky cabin all day and daydream about what you’ve experienced thus far, you can heed the call of your inner cowboy and head out on your own and explore, or you can join the group on our tour of the interior along the salmon river for a fun ride day without the hotel transferring.

day 6: Valley to Volcano
Departure: 10:00am
Distance: ~344 kms
Arrival: 3:00pm
Allowing a little more time to enjoy your cottage, we’ll journey east skirting the Trinity River for over 75 kms, and with plenty of breathtaking vistas and photo opps don’t be surprised if we take a more relaxed approach to our morning. After lunch we’ll re-enter the scenic byways of the Lassen Volcanic National Park until we reach our destination where you’ll enjoy a view and a meal fitting of the final night of our adventure.

day 7: Tahoe Yuba River Run
Departure: 9:30am
Distance: ~380 kms
Arrival: 3:00pm
All good things must come to end, so they say, but what a way to end the trip. We begin our final day heading south through the Tahoe National Forest, after which we’ll make the highest climb of all our trip to the Yuba pass at 6,700’ above sea level. With the Yuba river and stunning views of the Sierra Butte North as we’ll meander the forest and descend back to the great valley for the last time.
